Davidoff Hit
2002 black 16H Oldenburg Stallion
Don DavidoffSandro HitDonnerhall
This charming young stallion descends from exquisite individuals
and a family of success quite unparalleled by others. His sire
Don Davidoff and his damsire Sandro Hit were both World Champion
Young Dressage stallions, Gold Medalists under Dr. Ulf Möller
at the FEI World Dressage Championships for Young Horses. His
dams granddam Fantastica is the mother of Capuccino 16 (by
Classiker), Champion Grand Prix horse under Karin Rehbein, and
also the PSI stallion Sunny Boy (by Sandro Hit). Fantastica directly
represents the valued motherline of the Oldenburg mare Fiesta
(Donnerhall-Pik Bube I) whose progeny include Don Schufro (Donnerhall)
who was 2004 Champion Grand Prix horse in Denmark and is widely
well-thought of as a producer. Fiesta also produced the Champion
states premium mare St.Pr.St. Fabina (Donnerhall), winner of the
Elite Oldenburg Mare Show in Rastede.
Davidoff Hits sire Don Davidoff (Don Gregory-Rubinstein)
was a Champion at ages 3, 4, and 5. He was the 2000 Oldenburg
Licensing Champion and went on to win the Bundeschampionat (German
Young Horse Championships) as a 3-year old under Heinz Jorg Wachter.
Don Davidoff won the Gold Medal in the 5-year old division of
the World Championships before sold to millionaire Bechtolsheimer
of England.
Sandro Hit, Davidoff Hits damsire, needs little introduction.
The sleek, black 17.H Oldenburg stallion has time and time again
presented top offspring at stallion licensings, national and world
championships, and elite auctions. His win of the Gold Medal in
the 6-year old division of the World Dressage Championships for
Young Horses preceded his win of the most competitive venue of
all, the Bundeschampionat. He was titled Best Young Stallion of
2000 by the Oldenburg Verband. To date, Sandro Hit has over 65
approved sons. His first foal crop produced 10 licensed sons and
his famous daughter Poetin (Sandro Hit-Brentano II), who won the
World Championships and the Bundeschampionat in 2003. Poetin,
who has frequently been described as one of the most beautiful
and talented dressage horses of this decade, was later sold
to the Netherlands for 2.5 million Euros at the PSI auction.
Sandro Hits dam Loretta has produced other fantastic individuals
including Diamond Hit (by Don Schufro), Royal Hit (by the Rohadiamant
son Royal Dance) who a premium stallion of the 2002 Oldenburg
licensing. Sandro Hits sire Sandro Song descends from top
jumping blood, but the gift Sandro Hit has to offer is to the
dressage arena.
Neither Davidoff Hit nor his damsire Sandro Hit excelled in their
stallion performance tests. However, in the words of Dr. Ulf Moeller,
not every stallion is mature enough to perform the variety of
requirements this performance test requires. We see no barrier
in the future for Davidoff Hit to be a great performance horse.
He will make his debut in the dressage arena in 2007 under Susanne
Hassler and we greatly anticipate the quality that lies within
him to be positively revealed.
